Thanks, Zette!

In the fall of 2004, I went back to a website that I had known in the late '90s. Holly Lisle's site, where you could find out about her books and occasionally catch Holly herself in the chat room. I was shocked to find a flourishing writer's community called Forward Motion. I joined up again and within days felt like I was home. Everyone in the chat was so friendly and helpful. So full of knowledge and so kind. Two and a half years later, it's rare that I don't spend at least a few minutes in chat to catch up with my friends. Yes, I consider those I've met at FM to be my friends. I care about them and worry for them. I get excited to hear about the good things in their lives and mourn with them for their losses and tragedies. I never realized that a group of strangers that are identified by their username, text colors (Doesn't Mistyck have blonde hair? Oh, wait, by that theory, I have melon hair and

vg_ford has purple :D ), or their signature entrances/exits could be as close as we are. I don't spend as much time on the forums as I do in chat but always find them helpful and full of information and great people when I do use them. Forward Motion would not be what it is without the time, effort, and energy of Lazette Gifford.

Forward Motion and it's members mean the world to me and I am so grateful for all of the hard work that Zette puts in to keep it up and running. Thank you, Zette! You are too great for words, even from a writer. *raises a glass to Zette*
